"Digital Disruptions has always been in the center of emerging technologies integration, where the metaverse induced smart cities are going to create win-win situation."
In the race towards the future, governments had been making efforts for smart cities until they encountered ‘Metaverse’ Cities, particularly in developing countries, are transitioning from analog/conventional platforms to digital platforms. However ‘Metaverse’ is going to be the new ecosystem for various interactions and a new target for various cities and states to accomplish. It seems that innovations in technology will keep on providing cities with new goals and the quest for attaining new targets will continue. It will not be long until our surroundings will be marked by the presence of robots and the marvels of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
There is a lot of excitement around Metaverse, much of it driven by technology companies preemptively claiming to be Metaverse companies, or creating Metaverse to enhance or augment the digital and physical realities of people. Moreover, activities that currently take place in siloed environments will eventually take place in a single Metaverse, such as:
Purchasing outfits and accessories for online avatars
Buying digital land and constructing virtual homes
Participating in a virtual social experience
Shopping in virtual malls via immersive commerce
Using virtual classrooms to experience immersive learning
Buying digital art, collectibles and assets (NFTs)
Interacting with digital humans for onboarding employees, customer service, sales and other business interactions
It is expected that a Metaverse will provide persistent, decentralized, collaborative and interoperable opportunities and business models that will enable organizations to extend digital business.
